Awareness Campaign to cure strabismus

Rotary Club of Phoenix tasked FCB CREAD with creating an awareness campaign on strabismus. Those affected face lifelong discrimination—excluded as children, mocked with names like Kaylous or Tourdey, and later struggling to find jobs or partners. In many communities, they are unfairly seen as victims of bad luck.

Challenge

Our goal was clear: to inform the Mauritian public that treatments exist and to end the stigma around strabismus.

Working alongside Krishen, Art Director, we developed a digital teaser/reveal campaign. This was supported by a community management strategy, providing information on visiting doctors and engaging with public questions and testimonies. Additionally, we launched a series of testimonials from individuals with strabismus to amplify their voices.

Results

The campaign resonated deeply, sparking strong support and heartfelt testimonials.

Its impact led us to submit it to the Créatives Réunion advertising competition, an international contest for overseas and Indian Ocean regions. We proudly secured 2nd place in the "Great Cause" category.
